Taking a gap from his big budgeted gangster movies, Lal is back to play the son of the soil in the new movie by Roshan Andrews. The untitled flick will have him as Mathewoos, the owner of a Farmhouse in the bank of Periyar. Mohanlal has already started practicing under a trainer to look slim, as the hardworking man of a village. The movie which will bring back the acting merits of Lal-Thilakan duo will also feature a number of artists in smaller roles.

Scripted by James Albert, the movie will be another project of Aashirwad cinemas and Max Lab Release. The other Max Lab movies which will see the limelight of celluloid soon will be ‘Angel John’ and A R Sanjeev's ‘Janakan’.

The most happening actors of Indian film industry had spelled the most overpowering performance with “Unnai Pol Oruvan’ (remake of “A Wednesday’). Indeed, the film critics and trade analysts have strongly admitted that “UPO’ has overshadowed “A Wednesday’ in more panoramas.

Accordingly, much elated with the film’s success both Kamal Haasan and Mohan Lal cannot stop singing praises of each other’s performance. In an interview, Mohan Lal has stated that Kamal Haasan is a wonderful actor and deserves more appreciation than he has been endowed now.

“I am really interested in working with him for more projects in future’ adds Mohan Lal who enacted the role of Anupam Kher in this remake.

Mohanlal couldnt come out of the car becouse of the crowd and he reutured with co-actor Ashokan.Malayalam movie Karshaka sree directing by Roshan andrews after 'Udayananu tharam'.

Mohanlal, the superstar of Malayalam film industry has been choosen for this years Sree Chithira Tirunal award which is instituted by the Sree Chithira Tirunal Trust in memory of the erstwhile King of Travancore. The earlier recipients of the award includes agricultural scientist M S Swaminathan, ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair and National Security advisor M K Narayanan.

The award which was first announced in 2006 is in honour of individuals who have made exceptional contributions in art, science, literature, medicine, education and cinema. The sree Chithira Thirunal award carries a cash bag of Rs One Lakh and a citation.

This new award will be another feather in the crown of the superstar. At the same time mohanlal's
>UnnaiPol Oruvan is doing some good business in the Box offices not only in Kerala, but also in Tamil Nadu, North India and USA, UK etc.. This will make Mohanlal more proud.
